Terms of use
CuePrompt is published by Individual Entrepreneur Aliaksei Karatynski (Georgia) under the name Alkor Labs ("we", "us"). These terms are short on purpose.
1. Your license
You get CuePrompt, and Pro if you buy it, from the Microsoft Store. Your use of the app is governed by the Microsoft Store Standard Application License Terms, which Microsoft publishes as part of its App Developer Agreement. The points below add to those terms; they don't take away any right those terms or your local law give you. If something here conflicts with them, they win, unless this page gives you more.
2. Free and Pro
- The app is free to download and use. Voice following is free for 10 minutes a day; everything else in the free version has no time limit.
- Pro is a one-time in-app purchase sold by the Microsoft Store ($9.99 in the US; the Store shows your local price). Microsoft processes the payment and any refund, under its own policies.
- Pro is linked to your Microsoft account. It isn't a subscription, and we won't turn it into one: if we ever add paid extras, the Pro features you bought stay yours.
- We may change or improve features over time. We won't put saving your scripts behind a payment, and we won't add ads.
3. Your scripts are yours
Everything you write or import stays on your PC and belongs to you. We never receive it. You're responsible for having the right to use the text you put in the app.
4. Using it responsibly
Use the app lawfully. Hiding the prompter from screen sharing is meant to keep your notes private while you present; you're responsible for following the rules of the meetings, exams, interviews and platforms you use it with.
5. Open-source components
The app includes open-source software, among it the Vosk speech recognition toolkit and its English model (Apache License 2.0) and NAudio (MIT License). Their licenses apply to those components and are listed in the app.
6. No warranty
We work hard to make the app reliable, but it is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Speech recognition is never perfect: keep a way to scroll by hand ready for important moments, and keep copies of scripts that matter.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, revenue or opportunities, arising from your use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
8. Changes
If we change these terms, we'll publish the new version on this page with a new effective date. Changes don't apply retroactively to purchases you've already made.
