FingerstickTerms of Use
- Your use of the app is covered by Apple's standard license agreement.
- Fingerstick is a log for your own records. It is not a medical device and does not give treatment advice.
- Purchases and the yearly plan are handled by Apple.
License
Fingerstick is provided by Alkor Labs and licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA). These terms add a few points specific to Fingerstick. If anything here conflicts with the standard EULA, the standard EULA applies.
Not a medical device
Fingerstick is a log for your own records. It is not a medical device and is not meant to be used to find, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition.
- It does not give treatment advice, insulin doses or medication changes.
- Colors, averages, "time in range" and the A1C estimate are simple calculations from the numbers you enter. The A1C estimate is not a substitute for a lab test.
- The target range is a setting you choose. Discuss your targets with your doctor.
- Always follow your doctor's advice. If a reading worries you, contact your doctor. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
Your data
You are responsible for the readings you enter and the files you share. The app is designed so that your log is not lost, but no software is perfect: please keep a backup (Settings → Backup) and check reports before sharing them. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Purchases
- Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase of $12.99 (US price; other countries vary) that unlocks Pro features for the Apple Account that bought it.
- Pro Yearly costs $9.99 per year (US price). Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. It renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
- No subscription is required to use Fingerstick. The free features have no limit on readings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Changes to the app
We may update the app to fix problems or improve it. We will not take away a feature you paid for with Pro Lifetime without offering a fair replacement.
